NelsonStudios- Please kick the length of your videos back up. Say around the 10 min mark at least. It will be worth the longer upload times. I feel it is being diced into smaller pieces and I am losing the thread of the work. Worse on the Timber Framing than these. Still excellent but less...useful.
David Dube- Hantavirus is only 1 disease transmitted by mice but one that should cause you to wear a mask when handling their 'stuff'. Using a shop vac was unwise unless it had a true hepa filter. Urine crystals and dried feces float through the air like milkweed seeds.
honi9- its great that not only yourself wranglerstar, but the original owner gave a thought to having this go to a good home and have it restored somewhat to its original former glory.. IT HAS TO BE DONE!I often visit my local scrap yards for bits and pieces of parts for jobs and it always crosses my mind when I walk onto these premises and see old machinery that is so obviously in a condition worth saving and its about to be torn apart, shredded, sold and shipped to the eastern block and smelted, where it comes back in an afterlife as a brand new scoda chassis or something else not worth its salt...GOOD ON YOU FELLA!
irritablearchitect- ...Soooo, the question is, what are you going to use it to power?
wranglerstar- Array
Ryan Lambert- The goo is from non detergent oil my grandfather new some people who never used detergent oil and thats about what you get.
prairie wanderer- I have an LA that needs to be restored. Also have a brand new water pump jack attachment for it. Now for some time....
CopingWithTheTimes- Can't wait to see her go!
Colin Keevil- Ah, you're killing me here Cody! I DID think we were going to see it running this time. This engine is really cool though, I can't wait to hear it fire up. I've been outside working on similar projects today myself. I couldn't just sit here and watch you do it without getting my hands dirty too.
Pádraig Floyd- How do you know it hasn't run for 70 years? Was it made that year?
Chris Conley- Just for you to know felpro makes gasket paper in rolls. I always have some floating around just in case.
protecheqp Bill- not to be smart but I hoped you oiled that felt washer . And you should have had on a mask for the rodent nest. Also you should have had us all come over for the start up LOL Nice Cody well done ! as i sit here rubbing oil on my hands to get the feel for the video
Prairiedog575- I got my hands on an old VW the engine was really bad shape. I drained every thing pulled the spark plugs filled it with diesel and turned the motor with a 3/4 hp drill. Cleaned it out slick as a whistle. I put some vegetable oil in the cylinders as it took a while to clean the pump leads and return openings. Drained it, put used oil in it ran it for a few minutes, drained it again and put fresh oil in it. It ran like a champ until it was stolen and wrecked.
Preproto- I did think you were going to show it running. Who wants to help me run fiber optics to the forest?
Jared Jeanotte- This would be great to use for a backup generator. Because it should be able to run gas, kerosene, Diesel, or bio. It would've been great to have a try fuel generator during Sandy. You couldn't buy gas but diesel was widely available
Koen Louwen- make longer vids!
Paul bywc- That video felt like fluff so I had to thumbs down, I understand wanting to stretch content but the whole 1.0 2.0 3.0 4.0 thing is becoming rather pedestrian with more intro and outro than real content and not really seeming to add any real substaince to each "micro episode" for lack of a better term. I would rather wait for 1 longer video showing me the whole thing than keep nibbling at little scraps and going away hungry.
Cactus Makeshop- Three point O! Three point O!
Space Chair- Just buy a new one down the town
John Anderson- Cody! Awesome! Love every minute of it! and the suspense in intense! Can't wait to see here make smoke! Nevermind the editing suggestions of those who do not make videos of this caliber! The true "Wranglegroupies" dig the content at any length of video! Looking forward to 3.0!!
Jim Watson- 10 signs you know your spending to much time on the wranglerstar channel.1-You type in the letter w in your browser and the first suggestion is wranglerstar.2-You've decided to name your first born son Cody.3--Although you've been a life long vegetarian, your pet duck is starting to look delicious.4-You imagine how many 2/4s you can get from that old growth tree in your front yard.5-You win the wranglerstar top 10 subscriber award.6-You've decided to name your first born daughter "Wanda"7-As a pro gun control advocate you've befriended Ted Nugent on Facebook. 8-You perform the crosscut saw happy dance at your wedding.9-As an atheist a majority of your time is spent arguing why God does not exist.10-As a theists a majority of your time is spent arguing why God does exist.
TheDisorderly1- Great video and an interesting subject. I'm not sure what you intend to use this engine for but I do know that collectors prefer the original paint in tact on them as much as possible. Remember the old commercials where the older lady says, "WHERES THE BEEF??!"? your videos leave me saying the same thing. Please make them longer.
0vinnie9- Just out of curiosity what is the loud click when you turn the motor over?
Bernard Sobbe- When you finally get that motor up and running what are you going to apply it to?Great video as usual ,keep them coming!
MrFaitmaker- 1:18 Wouldn't you expect to see that gunk in a motor that wasn't run in 70 years? I'm not even an amateur mechanic so I have nothing really to draw from but it seems to me that you'd expect the oil to break down in some way. Please inform this ignorant man.
primalarcher- That is neat old engine, look forward to seeing it run.Jason
Jas NH- Does the engine require Leaded Gas? I didn't get to see the valve seats. If they are not hardened do you know if you are going to have to add a lead additive?
Douglas Aitken- Aaaaaagggghhhhhhh lol
highstepperARF- Very fun! Thanks for the great vids! :D
xd45shooter- Man! I knew the vid was too short to see it run!
Anthony Payne- you had more than that for big things in that truck of yours
Fred Schwartz- Your barn find looks like it's turning out to be the start of a whole lot of great Youtube videos. It was good to see that you were clean shaven at the end of 2.0. I was a little worried that your five o'clock shadow might turn into a younger version of ShopdogSam before you got the MD engine running. Hopefully, Mrs. W has forgiven you for saying that the barn find was the greatest day of your life (in one of the lottery vids). Thanks for the great videos.
Norm Lajoie- You sure got me watching till the very end ! you are killing me !! LOLI want that baby to Puff and Caught !Awesome that you take so much care in those old Tools and Machines... that would be awesome to have just running a gen or water pump ! Old style of course... but none the less... a nice little general purpose motor !
Ryan Metz- First View!
allen Duckworth- This is a McCormick deering engine from the 40s I think my grandpa has one. When the magneto is off a bit they are hard to start great find Cody
guerro327- I can't wait for 12.0 when we get to see it running!! ;-)
simon aldridge- hey cody run it with paraffin/new oil for a short while will make it nice and clean.
J297WFD- Thanks
