Aigo962- Does the operator have a motion sickness?
flnonymous- @GregTehGoose this thing can hardly be considered a mech. I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
DeadGamePits4Life- @beej69 Well it has been almost a year since you posted that comment... Is this thing still only a prototype? I guess most companies don't want to invest in this innovative machine simply because it's too out of this world. But in 50 yrs or so this machine could of moved a lot faster, make less noise from the moving legs, and not be used for tree killing, hemp is a lot better. It could of been used for rescue on tough terrain, meh IDK.
rsboy5- controlling this is gonna be like QWOP
gizmo664100- ahh the military uses... ah.
arbela331- Yes, but under the current capitalist system, money is the motivation for much of the timberland investment. There are extremely compelling reasons to grow forests that have absolutely nothing to do with money, but there are also very few folks willing to invest that kind of money in what seems to be an infinite resource.
amirmasoudabdol- Amazing
ScottaHemi- downsize it, and make a walking ATV! that would be sweet!
forge229- nots not aware if there is no ai
Chaseoman- We invented the wheel for nothing..
Eugen Afanasjev- Attach turnable wheelpairs on each leg, and here we have a thachikoma's grandfather!
Joesolo13- because it's really freaking slow.
gizmo664100- want.
Lechner Rozália- Can it run?
MrChunky22- I'm saying that there's a much more important benefit to having and growing forests.
Robb Chute- @jonjon181 4-5 years ahead of ya.
flushnex- The Na'Vi are screwed! Bye bye hometree :)
Xamd- CHROME HOUNDS
Amor fati- I have an idea!!! Instead of cutting down trees that take upwards of 60 years to fully mature, why don't we just grow hemp? For every acre of hemp you can produce 5 times as much paper as an acre of trees, and the hemp plant fully matures in 4-6 months. Hemp can also be used as a replacement for wood and concrete that is environmentally friendly. Support cannabis legalization!!!
ardvark84- Well sure! wheels don't provide the same range of motion that legs, they provide a lot more! What's more wheels don't need complicated and heavy hydraulic system to turn. We are not technicaly advanced enough to build "legged vehicles" for serious tasks.
