oxtoolco- Hey Adam,Looks like they put you to work there. Did Elena and her friend have fun on the camping trip as well?Talk to you soon.Tom
Sebastiano Balliana- Ciao bravo !!
Keith Rucker- Loving it! Thanks for posting some of your video and thanks again for coming down last week the help make the restoration project a great success!
David Kirtley- Well, driving through that part of Georgia, you *do* have to be ready for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Matthew Gischus- Jeebus,Ya driving on the wrong side of the road and to top it off your steering wheel isn't quite right either.... lol
Andrew Bryant pianotunerbristol- I really don't mean to be rude but both of you desperatelyneed to loose a few stones man
Randy Richard- Thanks for sharing the restoration, I enjoy your's & Keith's video's a great deal. Nice job on the LH Acme. I wish I could of participated in the project. Thanks again.
toly dukhovny- adam, that height adjustment lh acme screw turned out much better and to better tolerances than the original factory part.was it some alloy steel? what kind?thank you for the video.high regards to your wife.-toly
John Bare- Great stuff Adam! Ganged up on that rascal, that saw was a great crowd restoration project, looked like a lot of fun. Thanks for getting some of the goings on on video so we get to have fun watching you guys make that old beauty of a saw like new again, great work guys.
Gimp Geek- I'm betting that big bottle of whiskey on the stand in the Hotel might be yours
Buckrun11- You two are preppers! lol glad to see your wive again. Love your wifes smile and laughing. #5 Left hand Acme threads! Neat enjoyed the video.
SouthBend Charlie- Nice footage. Thanks for sharing.
WAVETUBE84- looks like a lot of fun. You even brought along the giggler (Mrs. B.).
watcherjohnny- My apologies to Ben Shank. I watched this video early in the morning while working on my first cup of coffee...so I was not awake. About eleven minutes into the video, I'm watching Adam chuck-up something in the lathe, and I see words pop-up on the bottom of the screen. Still not fully awake, my brain thinks it's seeing "BENT SHANK". Now my half sleeping brain is waiting to hear Adam say something like "this is how you straighten a bent shank in the lathe". Sorry Ben! Sorry Adam!
Billy T- Hey Adam, I ve got a question for ya.. (remember thought I'm just learning, so it might be a stupid question)Before the thread cutting when you made the thread relief, I did not see the cutter that well, but it looked to me like it was the same cutter you used on the OD of the shaft??? If so, could you briefly explain how you plunged into the shaft to start the relief.Billy
Pet Rock's Garage- I’ve got an ’03 Dodge Durango (4.7L) with 155k miles on it. They are great for road-trips, but they do love to guzzle gas. If you maintain them they will last forever.
cerberus- I have been married to my first wife for more than 45 years and every time we travel we pack just like you did. But I always have everything I need. Like brother Dave Gardner said, "swing with it and rejoice in it". Dave Gardner was a popular comic in the 60's, referred to himself as brother Dave.
Steve McQuillin- One more bag of makeup and you might have needed the dually! Looks like a great weekend :)
outsidescrewball- Hey AdamEnjoyed the video...got a question for you?Did you have to do any review/study prior to cutting that thread, or from your experience it was just been there done that?Chuck
65BAJA- That Lodge & Shipley looks like a nice machine. The Oliver too. Great video!
Lawrence Harasim- as allways....Love the Lathe work! and it can be challenging sometimes when you have not done what your about to do...Nice Job Adam!
Cosimo Marotta- Hi Adam, probably I'll never thread an ACME in my life, but to see how I can do makes me richer. Thanks my teacher, but next time remember to fasten seat belts: they really makes the difference. Be safe.
Donner PartySupplies- If the cost of having a great wife is packing extra stuff for a trip, buy a trailer, brother.
Swarf Rat- Hey Adam,Great video! Looks like everyone is having a great time! That damn lathe motor sounds like it's got bad bearings or something. Is the motor driving a hydraulic or lubrication pump? Whenever I go to my place in Ukiah (where I grew up; both parents are gone), I usually go for a week or so. There are things to do around the house as always. I am still a country boy and have to get out of the "big city". I like to go by myself. I have changes of clothes at the house and can always do laundry. If the wife does, I damn hear have to rent a U-Haul as she packs like we are staying for a month! Why do women need so much stuff? She has stuff at the house but still takes a ton of stuff. Go figure! Thanks again for the video.Regards,Dave
esoomreltna- Seat belts please.Respectfully,Eric
Schmecklebak Melvin- Good trip and experience for you and yours. I would like to see you and the little lady wearing your seatbelts. I also like how you shoulder check before changing lanes. Seatbelts are the law up here in Alberta Canada. Be safe my man.
scott lundy- you are a real machinist a good operator can jump on any machine and get busy
Rota Kravitz- nice, never seen an acme thread being cut before
Jason Carpenter- Cutting Acme threads are fun.I had to cut a 9/16-8 Left hand internal acme thread last week.Love the video.
Robert Nugent- Awesome. I've never seen someone do an acme thread before. Turned out nice.
not2fast4u2c- Thanks for the video.. This has been fun to watch everything on this project... Glad you all had a fun weekend !!!
oldBRATTrider- Looks like an excellent road trip. Relaxing with a day at work?... Actually I understand. Great video... Keep em Coming...
John Warden- Another great video Adam, that Oliver turned out just beautiful, it was great seeing all the people joining in to complete the build. I sure would have enjoyed being there helping and meeting everyone. Have a safe trip back. Waiting for next video.John
Ray Caniglia- Hey Adam,Thanks for sharing your road trip to Keith's, looks like some fun times! Don't feel bad, when we go "camping" you might think we are going away for a month! The new Durango sounded great rolling down I-10!Looking forward to part 2,Ray
Steve Mazingo- You know you in the south when whiskey and grits are travel accessories. Good video Adam as always. The old saw turned out sweet!
anonymic79- It's interesting that no matter where you go Adam, when it comes time to make chips on the lathe, an Abom79 video looks like an Abom79 video.
floridawind1- Looks like a good time with like minded people and good ol southern hospitality. Gill
