Your opinion about 1925 Baker Tractor Uniflow Steam Tractor, of course we go for a ride!
Check this out- .
KiwiPowerNZ- +yorrickwi He said "I'm not the kinda guy you have to ask twice". It means he doesn't think hmmm should I go should I not... If you have to ask someone twice they probably don't want to do what it is you're offering.
Mark Stockman- Thanks for the video! I didn't know Baker made steam tractors that late, and didn't know they build one with a Uniflow type engine. As steam goes, very efficient and high-speed.
yorrickwi- what did you say before showing the drining tractor "im not that kinda guy, you've got to ask politely" "im not that kinda guy you've gotta ask politely" wasi it meanth in a nice way or a way to tell him that you dont like his manners. english is not my native language so its hard to understand sometimes :P
RideswithChuck- They are scary! And well respected.
56jensen- • W O W !
RideswithChuck- I was expressing my eagerness to go for a ride!;)
Andrew Gulak- It looks like no matter WHERE you put a hand, you'd lose it. Or at least get a nice burn off any number of things.
RideswithChuck- Honestly, I think I can only distract from the vehicle or the owners who actually have something to say. I feel more like Ed Sullivan than Jay Leno or that guy with the big mustache.
97trainman- Does anyone know what kind of whistle the first twelve o'clock whistle is?
montwolfman- Thanks Chuck.
michaelXXLF- Chuck, you're were left pretty speachless here! :-)
MechanicalMadness77 .- thanks for more tractor vids!! Other tractor buffs will notice the Dain John Deere @ 2:53 :)
zzzdogutube- Cool Ride. Thanks
RideswithChuck- I think the boiler could probably be replaced with one giant battery. The whole thing could go electric!
yorrickwi- wasnt that later anyway its already cleared up so whatever
chkjns- What a smoke-belching BEAST! Our auto mechanic's grandfather started out in Phoenix almost 100 years ago repairing farm equipment. He might well have worked on one of these. Amazing the same shop here is run by the 3rd generation brothers after all these years.
RideswithChuck- Heavy,heavy metal..
michaelXXLF- He actually says: "I'm not ther kind of guy you have to ask twice."
mikego- Heh chuck,i've a photo of one threshing in the 50s for real&my friend is sat on a hay stack next to it(fire risk!)there's about 10 people working it all in total(oh& 1 collie). Happy days.
dalecs47- Hi Chuck. Thank you for the visit to the steam tractors. Or As I received the lecture many years ago, “Traction engines”. Was about 1970 my grandmother took me to the first annual “Great Oregon Steam Up” at the new “Antique Power Land” just North of Salem Oregon. There were many Traction engines and some gasoline tractors there running and on display. They have the steam up in late July every year. Worth a visit. Sad, all the old timers there then are gone and now we are the old timers.
pch058- Another great vid, Chuck. I love all things mechanical and steam is where it all began. These powerful beasts were king of the hill for many years, even after the first petrol tractors were invented.
Balázs Horváth- Awesome, along with the others - like as that stylish yellow tractor! :)
RideswithChuck- There seems to be a steady supply of old timers.lol
yorrickwi- ah okay :)
