Your opinion about BBC Future of Food - Part 1: India
Check this out- we do not have anything interesting today.
toshi ao- planet will heal itself like it as been done for billions of years but human won't.we the human should at least start harvesting rain water even if we human don't care and are being ignorant towards the climate changes and crises across the world.
Patel Vidhu- Not only food there are many basic problems of Indian poor. food, electricity, water, medical, education and much more.
Carmen Ortiz- Very interesting. One thing he is missing, in the much of the Caribbean rice and beans have always been part of the daily diet. Plus, rice and beans make a complete protein, something which the "experts" who say that white rice is bad for you miss. The embargo reduced the other choices but they were always secondary. Just because that particular family only has coffee for breakfast doesn't mean every one else does.
David Bradley- The underlying problem is birth control. Pass an international world law stating a maximum of 2 children. Do you want Human Rights in the short term or the long term?
andreasegde- First sentence: "At a cost that most of us can afford". Most of us???
Stephen Cotton- Research permaculture... it is more than a type of farming... it is a way of thinking that can change so many things... no need for fertilizers
Venkatesh Babu- In a world highly populated food demands will always be there and that too good food and clear drinking water. And it is at most necessary that they are available cheap and clean.
procekim- why not HD version ;(
hanna smith- Either this gentleman is unaware of new data or has another agenda !!!! We are not running out of oil or energy sources. These are all lies to keep the masses fearful and stressed out . Perhaps they should stop dumping wheat and rice and fruited in to the ocean in order to control global stock markets ... We have enough technology to do without oil and create water ... God knows they are good @ creating artificial earthquakes and tornadoes!
olivierbesacier- I'm dreaming of massive permaculture community gardens and non-greedy governments letting it happen. I said I'm dreaming.
Abhinav Singh- It was an eye opener for me and my respect for traditional Indian farming is hugely increased.. No use of pesticides No oil Making use of everything every resource we have and most importantly Being Vegan.
poacher greenwood- Every time I walk into a supermarket I see a disaster waiting to happen , no matter what way you look at it !
RedRum- My daily diet consists of Burgers, Pancakes, Ice Cream, Coke, Sprite, for Breakfast. Ceasar Salad, Mince Pie, Vanilla Milkshake, Cake for Lunch. And for Dinner I have Bolanasge, Carbonara, Hamburger, Coke, Taco, Whopper w/ Cheese and a McFlurry. I hinestly think its healthy, and I think I eat enoguh for the rest of the world to be feed.
Claudia M Cuartas F- Array
Brad Suarez- psshhhh I eat rice and beans almost everyday, its not that hard. I eat it with chicken though but I think I could do without it if need be.
Reverend Eslam- It never ceases to amaze me how many Indians and non-Indians alike do not even know how to pronounce the word "PANjab" correctly. I blame the person who first transliterated the word into Roman characters. The word Punjab is a xenonym/exonym from the Persian words panj (Persian: پنج) and Āb (Persian: آب) - which are cognate with the Sanskrit words "panch" (Sanskrit: पंच) and "āb" (Sanskrit: आप्) that means "five" and "water", respectively, thus PanjĀb means "Five Rivers", which roughly means "Land of Five Rivers". The five rivers are the Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, Chenab and Jehlum (also spelled Jhelum). Traditionally, in English, there used to be a definite article before the name, i.e. "The Punjab". The name is also sometimes spelled as "Panjab". The name Punjab was given to the region by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.
Venkatesh Babu- Can you produce food something like worms for future
NASEERTUBE2012- Gand fati bappa moryaJai gand ji kiJai kali kamini randi maata ki Jai barhway bholay naat kiBolo sri Ram chander ki maa ki choot
satish gadde- watch ; INDIA'S CENTURY OLD TRADITIONAL AGRICULTURE IN GOOGLE
Suresh SukumarBabu- "India is the fastest growing population in the world" - what a blunder from BBC.
Molly Sinclaire- This video is two years old and so much has proven Mr. Alagiah right. Historians tell us that the cause of World War I and World War II was actually Germany and Japans quest for more farm land. It is critical that we all learn to grow our own food.
Leo theLion- I wonder what poorer countries feed their dogs when not even the humans get to eat meat everyday? Ain't dogs suppose to be eating mostly meat? Horse meat?
Freweini Hayleab- do u know the peak of world population is 11billion so if we do it in the right thing it wont be too hard>>>>>>
Diana Ellis- Array
Karl Slicher- It's fine. Eventually food will cost enough that it is worth farming again.
Vikramandroxy- Naseer teri aami ko swine - pig ne choda hoga iss liye tere jaisa harami paida huaa
Sandra Keener- There is no hope, as long as we depend on the government and big companies who look out for their selves and the dollar bills they continue to scoop up. We have the ability to decrease our water consumption. The ability to filter gray water for toilet use. The ability to capture rain water. The ability to use permeability to absorb water run off. The need to use less chemicals in food and agricultural departments. Also less chemicals to clean up at home. Question is why don't we take more of a stand? We the people have grown to complacent in our world. Yes their are many grassroot people who are making a small difference. One step at a time. We need as homeowners to make 1- 2 changes a year to help with the future. Or else face water wars all over the world. Many areas are not telling the truth about how water, freshwater is being depleted. We have been sucking the land as if all the water in the natural resources is manna from heaven. The water down deep has been there for millions of years. Like a greedy child. We waste and pollute more than can be replaced. Governments complained about over population. Let's ask them what about reducing their own 1st. Stop paying for all the chemicals out there. Be a greater leader. Stop the dead zones pollution in the oceans. Teach how to be, better steward's in our country. Help those in need. Learn more
bourbakis- By 2050, we'll grow steaks and other meat in labs in large scale.
Elizabeth Kelly- The only solution is for the world to go vegan. Time to face facts folks. Meat is history, hallelujah!
Doris Hensley- there is only one-way ,local grown food ,
guyjer05- Farmer's retarded, just enter into a forward contract. There your volatility is solved.
Jeremy Mason- I call bullshit. The food made in the US alone could feed over 6 billion people, and Africa has the potential to produce 3 times that, let alone the rest of the world.
Josué Le Blanc- Buy local organic food or grow your own organic food! Less fuel involved in all that and you know what is in your food.
liviu bardel- i hope that humans will not become extinct.
Henry Rights- you have to respect the soil... soil health is the key to vitality of the plants... if you keep raking the soil again and again after harvest after harvest, together with spraying of all those artificial fertilizers, natural "soil-maintence workers" like earthworms and mycellium and other microbes are all gone for good.. Remember you have already turned the natural forested area into planes of rectangles acre by acre just for your crop to call home doing so you chopped down the large trees, which are the very important members of a healthy eco-system, to stumps. It's totally unhealthy. Everything must be kept in harmony following the rule of nature. You don't violate the rules. This kind of water shortage disaster clearly indicates people can't rely solely on oil anymore...
kairological- Watch "GMOS in USDA organic food (updated)" and then carry on...
tam clever- min 27:17
StrikeforceJedi- Permaculture is the answer to all these problems.
tam clever- interesting
Shastry Sm- This documentary reveals how danger line world will come across in near futureif the agricultural sector will not take serious precautions about food production. It is serious thinking for the Agricultural Minister and the Prime Minister of Indiato avoid starvation of people due poor food production. Politicians are offeringone Rupee per KG of rice to poor people only to attract vote for them. Suchselfishness should be given up, Freebies not to be encouraged and one mustwork hard to earn his food and other needs. Dont know when Indian politicians woodsincerely work for the betterment of the people in India.
