Your opinion about TUBALCAIN Tractor Field Trip part 1 Ford John Deere Minneapolis Moline
Check this out- we do not have anything interesting today.
not2fast4u2c- That was Fun to watch... My cousins had an A and a B John Deere and I learned how to start them with the hand start flywheel ..The Moline Jetstar is a nice looking tractor My favorite is the 8N Ford
Rickshaw Jack- What about that Simplicity, Wheel Horse, and Cadet? :)
infoanorexic- I was planted on an old sidewinder "B" and put to work, raking hay, at 11 years old, all day until the sun had set. I dreamed in windrows that night. Loved everything about haying that involved the tractor. Hated hauling it and putting it in the barn, though. Cut my driving teeth, so to speak, on those old John Deere 'A' & 'B' tractors. Cut my chin open, at 4 years old, on the axle of the model 'H" my father had when I tried to climb the rear tire and slipped off. Be watchful if you let the littles play on those (I won't say "don't let them," because I think it's good exercise for the imagination) and I recommend making sure they cannot start them, by accident or otherwise, when they are not in use.
ThePara7- I Have a ford 651 and love it
Michael Edwards- Why do some have narrow front ends,
Dick Carlson- https://picasaweb.google.com/109952561677140595465/8nRestoredSlideShow?authuser=0&feat=directlinkEnjoyed your video very much. My wife and I restored our 1951 8n last winter. Had such a good time Am including the above link to our pictures in case you might be interested and have the time. Dick -- from Tillamook
soaringtractor- Nice old 8N Ford. thats a good representation of a working tractor as opposed to a "show" tractor... too many get "Over restored" better than what they were new. My 74 Ford 3000 is a follow on to these old 8N many similarities in design, mine is a gasser. fun to work with. nice video...appreciate a nicely done video. I am a few years older thn you and have kinda slowed down now...
watcherjohnny- Next time I pass a casket shipping box on the curb on trash day, I'll grab it for you.
scabbard56- Nice! I've got 1952 Super A that's in the middle of a restoration and a 1952 Ford 8n too. Presently converting it to 12 volt. Working up a parts order for it to take care of a bunch of stuff that needs attention while I've got the hood off. Thanks for showing these.
spanermantim- I helped restore a Fordson Major at school It started on petrol then when warm switched to TVO. I have been interested in old tractors since. Thanks for the look see at yours.
666alikat- lol I love that mr pete felt it necessary to justify letting a 13 yearold drive a tractor. He'll be barrelin down the road at 100mph in another year or so. Best to get in as much practice now as possible.
Bob N- Thank you for running the john deer, my neighbor had a tractor similar to your deer. to hear it run brings back some good memories, when i was little i would sit on Mr. Johnson's lap when he would disc his rhubarb and berry fields. Just the sound of the deer brings back memories of the more innocent years here in the Puyallup valley
mrpete222- Array
SuperAceuno1- I'm not sure I've ever seen a Moline before, Back about 20 years ago I met an older guy that had a basically brand new 1957 Ford tractor in his garage, He bought it new to farm then ended up moving north to work in a factory, Like most he never made it back to his home area as planned because their kids were established raising their own families where they were raised
cerberus- Great video. I like old machinery and old tractors, lived on a farm when up till I was about 12. Keep on with the videos, lots of us are watching.
burninpwder76- love the tractors. I have a farmall H and a ford 850
PuchMaxi1988- How come most older tractors in the USA are gasoline, while most oldtimers over here (EU) are mostly diesels?
Michael Healion- Love the videos mr pete but that kid needs some exercise. Hes too big for 13 years old
gizzo123us- Some cool toys
Dark Sky Solutions- How much for the b?
TheDisorderly1- I like the Molines too. Not sure I've seen very many of them. Really has nice lines to it.
dan andy- I enjoy field trips and tractors. I am a mechanic not a machinist. I also like everything you do with antiqes and tools. Thanks for the instruction and entertainment.
Chip Wright- You have a very nice collection of tractors. It always brings a smile to my face when a 70 year old tractor that has been worked for years upon years can whirl over and start faster than a brand car can. I have a Farmall BN that I just recently converted to 12V. Did you know that you can convert your old 6V generator to 12V pretty cheaply by replacing the field coils in it and then replace the regulator with a 12V one. I converted mine this way so that it would be 12V but yet look completely stock. The only tip off would be the 12V battery. I converted it so that I could run an electric hydraulic pump to operate cylinders with it. My parents have a Ford 800 (looks just like a jubilee) and you are right, you couldn't ask for a quieter, smoother running tractor than one of those old Fords. With ours you barely have to bump the starter button and it fires right up. It doesn't matter how hot or cold it is out or how long it has sat for. I wish that all kids could get to have the experience that Jordan is getting from his Gandpa. :)
n45w73- I miss so much driving thoses tractors around ! :o) My uncle 8n nickname was The small Ford and was indeed a little bit to small, my other uncle had a Jubilee, we had a Ford 860 and my other uncle had a Ford 860 but with a diesel engine. the 800 serie was really nice, with floating hydrolic and double function clutch. Our other neighbourg had a 8n with an lever to shift in overdrive on the left side of the motor ... :o)
TheFeltbegone- Thanks for putting this up. I done a few 9n's and am working on a Farmall W4 currently. That Jet Star is a real beauty.
Deane Richardson- To bad you live on the other side of the continental divide, or I'd be real interested in the Johnny Popper. Pure curiosity how much are you asking for it, if you don't mind my asking?
Eric Rusch Sr- Love those old tractors. And our pal Jordon is getting big !Thanks Mr. Pete
MrGoosePit- Beautiful machines. Really liked the MM!
Redhawk454casull- Nice looking iron. Great of you to share it with us, Thanks!
Working Man- I believe they call them rowcrop tractors narrow front something I learned recently
Philip Monday- Love the ford 8n!! My father and I rebuilt an 8n about 15 years ago. My grandfather had a nice 9n also. Both are sold sadly.
ILGopher- Nice tractors. Dad still has an old B sitting in the garage. I don't think it has run in 30+ years. It definitely was a bear starting with the manual crank flywheel, especially if you flooded it or it had the two-row under belly cultivator on it.
Doug Rundell- Oil stains are like patina for the garage floor, sorta.
Dale DeMorrow- ever watch shopdogsam? he works on old engines i love old tractors
cigarcaptain- cool machines ya got there. Funny how the same vintage tractors in Europe all have a bench seat instead of a single seat. Maybe they used them for the trip to town and to church with the wife. I worked at the Case plant in Rock Island, early 70s. Lots of old machines, the tool room had several shapers. I Used many machines there with metal badging saying "For War Production Only" . The buildings were so old a painting of a horse drawn plow was on the one closest to the Mississippi. I like the vids.
Mark Helms- My B is a '51 also. They made them one more year. I believe the '52 was equipped with a water pump rather than using gravity flow.
ranga5424- The 8n is practically an American equivalent the English te20 just with a different engine
St al- Why do american tractors of this era have the central double wheels?
Bruce Boschek- Boy, would I have loved to have had a tractor like that to drive when I was young! I see Jordan has joined the corps of glasses wearers. Welcome to the troop, Jordan.
George Myers- Not able to view part 2, says it is private
