SomaSaysMeep- I wonder what a remake of this game would be like :/
Dorelaxen- I picked this up on Steam recently. It's certainly something to experience, that's for sure. I thought it was a smart satire on not only the adventure game genre, but, like LGR said, the results of violence in the media. The acting was what cemented it for me, though. We're talking Troll 2 levels of shit here, especially from Steve. "Where's....Stephanie....". Fucking classic.
Sam McArthur- i really don't think the games message gets across because of all the random violence but the stupidest and most counter-intuitive thing is that the European box art totes that it is "the most violent point and click adventure of all time" so they are basically throwing everything the game means and stands for out the window and using the violence as a selling point
carl battista- It's things like this that keep bringing me back to YouTube
FlotsamX- Other than the lame gameplay, I REALLY liked the Lodge. It was so surreal and detached from reality, even moreso than the town of Harvest itself.
Brian B- Damn, this game looks realistically violent and has disturbing content. Never in my life playing video game have i seen children killed in a video game, except in this one. I can see why this game was banned in alot of countries. But still i'm really interested in getting this game because of it uniqueness.
coldkeyes- This game is now on steam
Johnny Vegas- STEAM
seth harris- It is a violent porn adventure game
Turtleproof- 6:10
Porco-Dio FIlm- Dude, did you leave a review on GOG ?Because I swear to god I just read your review, verbatim, on there like ten minutes ago. Complete with West World and Stepford Wives references. Anyway, great review, regardless.
Major Tightpants- You've always been a killer, Steve.
Chris sims- It's sad the later part of the game kind of sucks, The first part looks really interesting.
TyphoidBryan- Harvester 2: Still a Kidder. Not a bad sequel, but I much prefer Harvester 3: Revenge of Margot Kidder.
Damani Brown- Should've shown the baby scene :)
- MedX -- This reminds me of Darkseed
Hezekiah Ramirez- I'm glad the "violent games" thing is almost over. There are strong mental barriers between us and, for example, murder. so saying a game will make someone violent really just doesn't make sense on a lot of levels. What does disturb me though, is that so-called "gamers" (I HATE that word) generally treat all discussions about media affecting us the same way. Fox News viewers are the most consistently misinformed people in the US. What does that tell you? Right. Media affects people. Otherwise propaganda would not exist. Saying a consistent barrage of, say, misogyny helps reinforce societal mores that are already deeply ingrained is not the same thing and does not warrant the same response.
SantuXD6- "Neeeturaaal causeeeees?"
Javier Hurtado- In some webpage someone described this game as if Uwe Boll had made Twin Peaks. That statement proved to be quite accurate.
Riyokintyu- This was just on sale on steam for .59 cents. Really good deal.
rl1712- Harvester is now available on GOG for $5.99 and its the uncensored version
Chronon- Thanks for the review, considering of getting this on the halloween gog discount.
Mailman692- If David Lynch decided to make a game
Ren Hork- At 3:33 does the sign say "Gein Memorial"? Like Ed Gein?
kathryn0200- Lester the unlikely: bloodlust.
Boston Towny4life- 5:01 GOOD >:)
Victor Bejarano- You should review the Darkseed games
Doug E- I dare you to do a top ten FMV video game list! double dare you!
JPlatinum333- I first found out about this game through Retsupurae's commentary on it (which I definitely recommend watching if you have a few hours worth of spare time). As much as I loved seeing those guys tear this game apart, I still think the concept of this game was quite interesting and it certainly seems worth checking out in spite of its flaws.
Conso1727- The game has been added to the Steam Store, worth taking a look.
TheReal Sok- I have been searching for this game for so long!!! I remember playing this years ago. Thank Lazy Game Review.
SegaCDUniverse- I hope one day you do Phantasmagoria 2, loved that game! =)
MaximumRD- Ha awesome review as always man! Not surprising I was looking for videos since it just became available on GOG for $5.99! Seeing it was one of your reviews was a bonus.
asnaes- Somebody dies in the description of the game on the back of the box? HOLY MACKEREL AMOS!
Noah Phelps- Hey, LGR! I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you this, but I might as well anyway. The actor who played Steve got arrested of possession of child pornography. I'm not exactly sure why, but that really adds to the cheesy weirdness of the game for me.
cuddlykittehs- Also, I love that,"You always where a kidder, Steve" thing."I call that a death of natrual causes""NATRUAL CAUSES?!""You can't live wihtout a spine, son"Someone doesn't get it.
SegaCDUniverse- I still have this on CD-Rom...weird game but I like it. Pete Swell rocks.
Marcin Trybus- I got it on Steam yesterday, I really enjoyed it but the third cd (last part of the game) is really boring, but other than that, really good.
Captain Southbird- "You can't live without a spinal cord, son." The disc #3 failure of gameplay seems unfortunate, and I know from old Lucas Arts titles that "battles" can be implemented in a way that fits the original P&C Adventure style without resorting to a huge deviation. (Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis did push this a little bit with the Nazi fights, but at least there was usually a clever way to do it.) Seems like with a little more thought this could have been a truly perfect/unique piece of P&C Adventure.
