Your opinion about Chicken tractor update: how grass is affected.
Check this out- we do not have anything interesting today.
iwantosavemoney- this is very cool am looking into building a chicken tractor of my own. but, right know am trying to gather every bit of knowledge I can find to do it in the proper manner. so I can cycle my animals in and build up the soil. am also looking into heating my house with grass pellets and I think the chicken will play big part in fertilizing the grass for me. if we can benefit from the waste of a animal and not waste none of the parts of a animal then are small farms with grow way beyond what would be expected from a small farm. I think the key is to not let nothing go to waste. I think you are doing great things here keep up the good work
Blake Kirby- The differences in the grass came across pretty clear for me. That is a really nice comparison and shows the importance of keeping the tractor moving along. This will be very helpful to me when I finally get moving on this project for myself.
Alberta Urban Garden Simple Organic and Sustainable- That Chicken Tractor is fantastic! You can continue to get healthy chickens and continue to build and put to work your lawn! Fantastic!
Caroline Baines- How are the piglets? Did you get Polly (I think it was her) back to the barn?
Proverbs Thirty-one- Nice back yard
bo ter berg- Great tractor. You might think about putting less chickens per tractor, or a bigger one so you'll only have to move em once a day ? They look the same as the ones from Mr Salatin. Geoff Lawton uses electric fence that he re-situate every week or so. There are ones not that expensive (think about 100 $ for 50 yards ? And they can run on solar too. That'll be another 300$, so that is a bigger investment ... But you prolly know all about that anyway, and geoff lawton too, now that you have J&J running around your property ;o)
evcrawfish- huge thumbs up, this is on our list of things to do, seems like my list gets longer everyday...LOLthanks for sharing this valuable information Sir
CheapskateGardener- I so need to build one of these for sure
One Woman & Two Acres- That's why I love my chickens in the compost! It's turning into the most beautiful stuff.
texgardener1- Thanks for the updated! It was interesting to hear how things are progressing and I thought the length of the video was good :)
Alderman Farms- Array
TheTrueabundance- yep! I'm sold! When we move to the countryside later this year it's a chicken tractor for me! (well... not for me, for my chooks, of course!)
