Check this out- we do not have anything interesting today.
Dendy- Maybe I just haven't been exposed to a lot of violence in my life, but this is easily the most disturbing thing I've seen in my life. One scene in the lodge literally made me vomit. But I really liked some parts of the game. It's a good game, but I could do without some parts.
jono zygorodimos- Play zombiu instead
tunainoil- Thank you! I've been looking for a video review of Harvester for ages and not only do I find one but I find a good one. And I just can't believe this is the first one I've found. As for the game itself, it's criminally underrated. It's also a rare case of a game that benefits from the FMV. I just couldn't imagine the game without it. Alas, it's also a prime example of a game that won't probably see a re-release and that's a damn shame. Because of this video, I subscribe.
SJAMPA DooMchimp- Thanks for the review mate looks like a cool game. This one went under my radar but ill be sure to check it out ;-)
lonelyspacepanda- I never heard of Realms of the Haunting before. That game looks awesome. I need to check it out, now. Any other games you would recommend that are similar to Harvester?
lonelyspacepanda- In that case, you must play Sanitarium. I like Harvester more, but Sanitarium holds up better if that makes any more sense. It's much more mature and consistent.
Carrigon- Watch Kikoskia's Realms of Haunting walkthru on here. You'll get a feel for how kewl it is. Best game ever. It's like playing a Stephen King novel with FPS thrown in. It's amazing. In all these years, these two games are all I've ever really gone back to. Shivers from Sierra, I like the museum. Gabriel Knight, Laura Bow. Old Sierra titles were great. One more, Dark Seed. Very old, H R Giger's Alien imagery is in that.
mulry101- @XXX69696 The best way to play this game on modern operating systems is by downloading DOSBox and running the game under that.
TJOP1- Any way to download this game? ;)
1300l- This game, i can realy apreciate it. Start with it concept of criticize people who think games create violent kids (and how many things from life could have the same effect but arent blaimed if that would be the case). How it has Twin Peaks influence (like Darkseed 2). And how it is a parody of it it own criticism. But its one HELL of a sick game! It make GTA, Carmagedon and Postal 2 feel like a Kirby game.
lonelyspacepanda- Cool, I'll add Shivers to the list. I tried Dark Seed recently and didn't really like it. The music/sound was painful and I was confused on what to do. I'm still going to try Dark Seed 2 sometime. That game even has the same sort of FMV look as Harvester. I know you're not the one asking for recommendations, but I always found Sanitarium to be Harvester's other-half. There are walktrhoughs of it on YouTube, but it's always better to play yourself.
Carrigon- IMO, one of the best games ever. I always list Harvester and Realms of the Haunting as my all time favorites. My only problem with Harvester was that I didn't like either ending. It needed one more ending, a better one. But the rest of the game was perfect.
1300l- Panda, your Lets play of it is a full run? Since i played this game start from end but i miss many things.
jovan wilson- STOP SALIVATING!!
domatron42- Very nice review, thanks for putting this up.
Carrigon- Sanitarium's one of the few I've never played. Probably because I was heavily into the Realmserver by then. Realm was originally a Sierra creation. You might like it.
