flaviusmol- nice working sistem(renting the harvester) what is the price of such a mini harvester? even in used condition? is it availabele on market? i am nterested in buying and importing one in europe
Salvatore Shiggerino- But why sickles? Communist symbolism aside, wouldn't scythes be more productive at roughly the same cost?
VietFiddle- Nowadays, highlanders in Vietnam harvest their rice by hands. The rice fields are tiny, few feet wide, and a foot high above one another on the hills. There is no small machine to operate on this kind of fields. Most of harvesters are women, children, and seniors. The harvester carries a basket on her belly. One hand, she holds a pair of chopsticks. The other hand, she pulls the rice branch through the gap between the two sticks. The grains drop down into the basket.
VietFiddle- No. In Viet nam, and Asia, the common tool for the job is sickle. Sickle is cheap, without storage and maintenance, and the fields are tiny. In average each farmer need a week to harvest entire his rice field. Having the machine in the video clip, the time may be few hours. However, the machine requires storage and maintenance that does not work for tiny farms.
Vs Guevara- couldnt agree more, its excellent!
VietFiddle- I have been a farmer for more than ten years. My rice field was nearly an acre. Now, in Viet Nam, many rice fields are in that size or smaller. You can visit Google maps zooming the south tip of Viet nam to see that. Yes, it is too big for the job. No, it is not powerful and not effected.
Rolf Töpfer- I'm completely puzzled by the miniature scale of rice farming. I just don't see how it's viable these days.
Vs Guevara- Its an obvious irritating remark from someone who hasnt got a clue in rice planting/harvesting!
Vs Guevara- piece of SHIT! for you it is, because maybe you dont know about farming. What kind of job or profession do you know? A lay about, couch potatoe, scrounger?
lukebccb- The harvester is not owned by the farmer. The harvester is owned by someone else that is paid a fee by the farmer to come to the farmer's land and harvest the crop. That is how it is usually done in North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, (and increasingly) China, etc, i.e.: "modern industrial" nations.
sarta Yuswara- aku sukaskali mesin ini.simpel dan baik
maketzu_94- I work as farmer. lol i did mean that machine is sooo small and not powerfull.
VietFiddle- You can grow rice in a bow, and place the bow in the sun, like bonsai.
uberbadnoob6699666- look at those blacks they should all stay here and none should have came to us all they do is cause problems
